When: Every second Saturday of the month except in December and July and August;

Time: 9 AM,

Where do we meet: the POA parking lot of the Rumbling Bald Resort. Hikers who are living further away can be picked up on the way. There is no need to call. Just show up and we will be happy to have you

What: The hikes are usually in our area, and they are often within one hour driving distance. All hikes consist mostly of about two hours of hiking with some breaks and all hikes are mostly in the moderate category. Sometimes we have some steep inclines, which we will announce in the newsletter

Who :Our hiking group consists mostly of about a dozen people who seek fun and friendship. We all like to be close to nature and forget the every day hassles.

Little Pisguah Mountain Hike

When: Saturday, September 15, 2007. 9am

Where: POA parking lot

Note: Whoever lives south of the resort can meet us at 9:27am at the Lake Lure Inn parking lot. There is limited parking, carpool if you can.Why: To be close to nature, friends and to forget the hassles of the day. Crystal Ball Weather forecast: Sunny, high of 70 degrees

Have some comfortable hiking shoes, water and a snack. We will stop at a local restaurant on the way home. Be back around 3 pm.
