The purpose of this club is to help you build a solid foundation in your new home here in Lake Lure. and develop life long friendships!. The Lake Lure Newcomers Club encourages all members to support the club by participating in some of the activities available.
 
Please indicate your choice of  Newcomer Activity participation:

	Pot Luck:	Members meet Monthly (3rd Thursday) at a host member's home. Each of the 4-5 couples/individuals bring a salad, side dish or dessert.
	Duplicate Bridge:	Members meet on Monday Evenings, 7:00 PM at the home of Dick and Ann Gundel. A call to the Gundels for reservation is needed.
	Vista Seekers:	Members hike and enjoy the out-of-doors with a monthly outing planned by Germaine and Wolfgang Richter.
	Gourmet:	Members meet at a member host's home for a special menu/meal.
	Theatre:	Members enjoy  a production at various local playhouses and often dinner before these outings.
	Dining Out:	Members plan dining experiences at various eating establishments.
	Out n About:	Members visit area attractions, near and far! Various members plan the outings
	Square Dance:	Members and their guests meet every Thursday of the month, except the third Thursday, for a fun evening of dancing. Lessons provided.
	Garden Club:	Members should contact Rosemary Sipes, 828-625-2099
	Book Club	The Mountains Book Club Meets at the Library at 10 AM on the forth Monday of each month

Bi-Monthly Get-Togethers: All members attend on the 4th Saturday of every other month. These are held at a Host Member's home or at other great places in our area!.

Everyone wears a name tag so that members can get to know one another. Liquid refreshments are provided. Each member brings an appetizer or finger dessert. All have a good time! Each member serves as host or co-host once a year or so. These get-togethers are held in February, April, June, August, October and then in December an Annual Christmas Dinner Dance.
